God’s provision is amazing, as we see Him working, not only with the boys, but with the staff and ourselves as well. We are humbled and thankful every day to see how God has provided people who have stepped into the unknown to follow Christ with the call He has placed on their lives. They have followed Him in absolute faith with their future, finances, and families.

There is nothing that can compare to seeing lives change right before your eyes. The beauty of it is that it’s not just the boys from the streets who are being touched and changed, but it’s all of us: the staff, the house parents, the missionaries and even the kid’s families. We are a part of a miracle that is unfolding right before our eyes and we praise God for all that He has done and will continue to do in the future.

“At age 14, God planted in me the dream of being the Director of an organization that works with kids from the street. For many years I asked God how that dream would be fulfilled. When I turned 28, I told God that if I turned 30 and didn’t begin working with this population then it was because I had misunderstood God’s dream for me.

That same year I began to work through Emmanuel Baptist Church in Caracas with people who lived on the street. I had beautiful experiences and that same year I got to know Niños de la Luz and I fell in love with what God was doing there. I began to serve as a substitute Aunt on weekends. I enjoyed every moment of seeing God hand move in the boy’s lives. After some time gaining experience and preparation, God is fulfilling his dream in me. Today I am the Director of an organization that works with kids who come from the street and from at-risk situations where we are able to show Jesus’ love.”

U.S. Administrator

Sharon Conjurske

I have been privileged to be involved with Niños de la Luz for the past ten years, leading short term teams from my local church to Venezuela and sponsoring two boys from the Lighthouse Ranch. Over time God has deepened my awareness and concern for street children and my commitment to the family and faith based ministry of Niños de la Luz. I accepted the position of U.S. Administrator in the fall of 2012. I am so excited to help facilitate good communication between supporters in the states and the boys, staff, and volunteers throughout this ministry and to keep you informed about what God is doing as He transforms lives for His glory.

“My husband and I have been acquainted with Niños de la Luz since its early beginnings.  We have watched, with awe, how God has grown it from a tiny seed into a strong and thriving ministry in now two separate countries.  I was invited to join the NDLL team in March 2013 and feel so blessed and privileged to play a small part in this powerful ministry.”
